HP Vista 200
Film photography is expensive so the prospect of a $1 roll of film is just too enticing to pass up. HP Vista was a film distributed in the EU in the early 2000’s and it is with strong suspicion I propose it is. Agfa Vista 200 relabelled as an HP film stock. The results tend towards warmth in the shadows, the detail is sharp and colors are quite vivid.
Due to good fortune I found myself with multiple rolls of film from the same unopened box. With that in mind testing one roll should provide evidence to how the remaining rolls will perform. This was done by bracketing exposures of the same scene and comparing results
Shooting it at the 200 box speed produced some muddiness in the shadows and generally less clarity so the determination was made to shoot the film at 50 ASA giving the most light possible which helped attain the most clarity and vibrance.
